Former eBay Trust & Safety Expert to represent Click Forensics and 2,500 Members of the Click Fraud Network on the IAB Click Measurement Working Group

Click Forensics Names Kevin Embree to Board of Advisors

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – September 13, 2006 – Click Forensics™, LLC, which runs the search advertising industry’s largest independent click fraud reporting service – the Click Fraud Network™ (www.JoinTheNetwork.com), today announced that Kevin Embree, former head of Anti-Phishing Industry Initiatives for eBay, Inc., has joined the Click Forensics board of advisors. In his new advisory role, Mr. Embree will represent the company and the 2,500 members of the Click Fraud Network on the development of pay per click measurement guidelines and standards as part of the recently announced Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Click Measurement Working Group of which Click Forensics is a member.

“I’m energized to be working with Click Forensics and the members of the Click Fraud Network on the development of industry click measurement standards with the IAB,” said Kevin Embree. “As industry-wide click fraud standards are discussed and developed, we’ll continue to work closely with buyers and sellers of pay per click advertising to prevent, detect and mitigate invalid click behavior in order to provide transparency and restore advertiser trust in the pay per click (PPC) model.”

Similar to the detection of invalid clicks and click fraud scams, Mr. Embree has focused on online identity and the real-time detection of suspicious and fraudulent behavior for large-scale, global trading platforms for the past seven years. Most recently he led eBay’s anti-phishing industry initiatives, working closely with eBay, PayPal, Skype and industry leaders, such as Yahoo, Google, AOL, Microsoft, Dell, MarkMonitor, Earthlink, Symantec, McAfee, IronPort, and Verisign, to identify and implement global anti-phishing solutions. During his tenure with eBay, Mr. Embree also spearheaded research and development related to global security and risk management for the company’s marketplace policy and rules enforcement, copyright and trademark issues, and online safety and fraud.

Before joining eBay, Mr. Embree held senior management positions with web-services pioneer, Kurion, and InfoGlide Software Corporation, which was focused on fuzzy search and similarity scoring for enterprise identity and risk management. He also worked with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) for eight years, where he served in key software development and product management positions.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Kevin’s depth and breadth of experience developing solutions and industry standards for combating online fraud join our team,” said Tom Cuthbert, president & CEO of Click Forensics. “He will help with one of the most important battles in e-commerce today – successfully overcoming the growing problem of click fraud. Our Network members and the online advertising industry as a whole will have a powerful advocate in their corner when it comes to defining related click fraud measurement standards.”
