Web Analytics - which one should we use?

I'm reviewing several web analytics products and a friend of mine said I should try Google Analytics.  Any reason why I should not try it?  Help.

There are many products to consider - check out the latest article entitled Analyzing Your Website from Inc Magazine.

Initially we used Indextools for analytics but we recently switched to Fireclick.  We also reviewed Google Analytics in detail and determined that we did not want to provide Google with that much information about our campaigns and conversion clickthrough.  There is also no customer support or custom reporting available through Google.

We have Google analytics installed as well as clicktracks. We like clicktracks, however, with the accummulation of log data, the load time is taking too long.
